_Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor - Copy Protection Activating
Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor hasn't been easy. PC Games Hardware
has access to the version 2.500 (Retail). As it is the case with almost
any game, you have to type in a serial number during the installation.
But after that you have to face the first challenge: No matter if you
want to play the solo part or the multiplayer of Company of Heroes:
Tales of Valor, you always have to create an account at Relic first.
After the registration a 1.5 MiByte big patch is downloaded. During our
test the download took unusually long. But even now you can't play Tales
of Valor yet. After starting the game another patch, about 100 MiByte
big, is downloaded. This took more than one hour! After all you are
ready to play now at last.

of Heroes: Tales of Valor supports, like its predecessor, multi-core
processors and DirectX 10. Although the minimal system requirements list
only 1 GiByte RAM, Company of Heroes: Tales of Valor nevertheless used 2
GiByte during our tests. Vsync cannot be turned off ingame - you have
to start the game with a command line. The video settings offer many
options, but even after small changes the game has to be restarted and
you have to log in again. Relic also integrated a performance benchmark.
